Overview

Yenching Academy Scholarships 2027-28 in China offers Masters Degrees applicants the chance to take part through Peking University, offered on a fully funded basis. The deadline to apply is 30 November 2026.

Coverage & Financial Benefits

• The whole tuition expense is covered by the fellowship.
• The Yenching Academy will provide housing for the fellows. They will be assigned to a two-bedroom apartment with a shared bathroom used by two people of the same gender.
• The fellow will be covered by health insurance.
• Every month, a stipend will be paid.
• A one-way travel allowance will be provided.
• The advantages are only valid for the first year. Fellows must maintain their academic standing in order to continue receiving perks.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or be enrolled in a degree program to be considered.
• The candidate must be between the ages of 23 and 28.
• The student’s graduation must take place by August 31, 2027.
• A strong academic record is required of the student.
• The candidate must be fluent in English and confirm residency.
• During their master’s program, the candidate must be able to live in Beijing.
• Mainland Chinese students must be able to stay in Beijing for the whole two-year program. International students, on the other hand, can return home and complete their studies with the consent of their advisers.
• Results from the TOEFL and IELTS that were taken before September 1, 2025, will not be accepted.
• TOEFL MyBest and TOEFL IBT Special Home Edition scores are not accepted at Yenching Academy.
• There is no requirement for Chinese language knowledge because overseas students are required to take Chinese language classes.
• Both Males/Females are eligible to apply.
