Chevening Scholarship 2027-28

Overview

The UK government's global scholarship programme, funding a one-year taught master's degree at any UK university for future leaders from over 160 eligible countries and territories. Around 1,800 scholarships are awarded each year.

Coverage & Financial Benefits

• Full tuition fees paid directly to the university
• Monthly living stipend (approx. £1,347)
• Return economy airfare and a homeward leave allowance
• Arrival allowance, travel grants and a thesis grant where applicable

Requirements & Eligibility

• Citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory
• Return to your home country for at least 2 years after the award
• Minimum 2 years (2,800 hours) of work experience
• An undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK master's, completed at least 2 years before the deadline
• Apply to 3 different eligible UK university courses
