Coverage & Financial Benefits

• Providing funding Support to students engaged in doctoral research.
• An annual stipend of NZ$33,624 to Doctors of Philosophy and other professional doctorates will be provided.
• For students of Philosophy, there is a tuition fee waiver of up to 36 months.
• The students will be awarded a tuition fee waiver for up to three years.
• The students will get opportunities to conduct research activities in International environments.
• There are almost 164 scholarships have been offered to overseas applicants for Professional Doctorates (DClinDent, DMA, DBA, EDd).
• The students will be awarded advanced research techniques and methods.

Requirements & Eligibility

• All domestic as well as international students can apply for Otago Scholarships.
• The applicants must have a Master’s degree with at least 0.75 EFTS.
• The students pursuing their Master’s degrees can also apply, but their grades on advanced-level papers will be considered.
• The GPA result must be mentioned on the transcripts of previous degrees that have been achieved at any other institution.
• The applicants having great potential for the research field will be given preference.
• The applicant must have an excellent academic record of research in previous studies will be preferred.
• Recommendation of the Head of the department concerned is also required.
