Coverage & Financial Benefits

• Newly admitted students for undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Coimbra will get a portion of their tuition fees exemption under the Merit Scholarships. Approximately 200 Merit Scholarships valued at up to 1000 EUR to 2000 EUR will be granted to students with an admission score of 160 points or higher. Moreover, 7,000 EUR will be provided for annual tuition fees.
• Registration fee, other course-related taxes, the cost of living, food, school supplies, and other personal expenses will not be provided.
• Students enrolled in the first year of the specific programs (mentioned below) will be awarded an amount of up to 2000 EUR.

Requirements & Eligibility

• All international students are eligible to apply for this scholarship
• According to the Portuguese grading scale, a minimum of 160 points is required to be eligible for this scholarship.
• Students already admitted to any university in Portugal with residential status as an international student with total academic grades of 16 are also eligible.
