Requirements & Eligibility

• A good academic record in the previous education of applicants will be given preference.
• All overseas students from all countries are eligible to apply for the University of Bern 2027-28 Scholarships in Switzerland.
• A bachelor’s degree is required to apply for a master’s degree scholarship.
• For a PhD degree scholarship, a master’s degree is required for applicants.
• English or German language proficiency, e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent, is required by the University of Bern.
