Overview

Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) is inviting Undergraduate, Master’s and PhD Degrees applicants to apply for SMART Scholarships 2026-27 in USA in United States (USA), offered on a fully funded basis. The deadline to apply is 4 December 2026.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • At the time of application, you must be a citizen of the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom.
  • By August 1, 2027, you must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Able to do at least one summer internship (only for multi-year students)., obtaining financing for the degree for at least a year before graduation (beginning on the programme start date);
  • A current pupil with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Completing a technical bachelor’s or master’s programme in one of the aforementioned 21 STEM fields.
  • Either be enrolled in a graduate programme at a regionally accredited US institution or university, OR have a college transcript for the autumn of 2026 from a regionally accredited US college or university.
  • Active duty service members must be removed from duty or on terminal leave.
  • You must submit your application by December 4, 2026, to be considered for the prize.
  • Applicants must be current ROTC members who have shown a desire to join the military in the future.

Required Documents

An Upper High School Certificate or the equivalent of 12 years of schooling is required.
Transcripts of Bachelor’s Degrees are mandatory for Master’s Degrees.
International Students’ Passport
A concise resume/CV is required.
A Motivation Letter or Statement of Purpose.
Study Plan or Research Proposal.
Two letters of recommendation.
