Overview

Nationales Hochleistungs Rechnen NHR has opened NHR Scholarships in Germany for 2027-28 to PhD Programs applicants, offered on a 2,200 eur per month basis. The deadline to apply is 15 September 2026.

Coverage & Financial Benefits

• Scholarship will be provided to successful recipients for up to 36 months.
• An amount of 2,200 Euros per month will be provided towards stipends.
• The best mentors from all over the world will provide guidance for research projects.
• Students will get high-standardised training programs and workshops.
• A six-month program of research will be carried out outside their selected focus at another NHR Centre (Secondment).
• The program will offer additional cutting-edge training and mentoring sessions, like soft skills seminars, career coaching, and mentoring programs.
• Participants will get community sharing opportunities and cultural networking.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Applicants of all genders and backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply for a PhD scholarship at NHR.
• Students who have completed their master’s degrees in the fields of computer science, engineering, natural sciences, mathematics, or any other field can apply.
• All the admission requirements for PhD studies of the respective NHR Centre must be fulfilled by the candidates.
• Also, the additional acceptance requirements mentioned in the subject-specific doctoral regulations must be fulfilled.
