Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2027-28 at University of Edinburgh

Overview

A partnership between the University of Edinburgh and the Mastercard Foundation funding postgraduate study for African climate and development leaders, covering tuition, living costs, and mentorship across 13 schools. Attending a mandatory information session (15-24 September 2026) is required to unlock the application form before the main deadline.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Resident, citizen, or refugee-status holder in an African country
• At least a UK Second Class (Upper) Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Aged 35 or under when the programme starts (born on/after 1 January 1992)
• For Master's applicants: no prior postgraduate degree
• Demonstrated barriers to education and a track record of community leadership
• Attendance at a mandatory information session (15-24 September 2026)
