GIST Scholarships in South Korea for 2027-28 is currently open through Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), for MS, PhD, Integrated MS and PhD Degrees applicants, offered on a fully funded basis. The deadline to apply is 7 October 2026.

Coverage & Financial Benefits

• Full Tuition Fee Coverage of 3,805,000 KRW per semester
• Monthly Stipend for MS students is up to 140,000 KRW per month, and for PhD students, 295,000 KRW per month
• Meal allowance: nearly 100,000 KRW per month
• International student allowance: 120,000 KRW per month
• Free Health Insurance
• Expenses of Flight Reimbursement
• Research Allowances will be granted to the students participating in research projects: 10,286,982 KRW per month for M.S.
• 17,361,578 KRW per month for PhD

Requirements & Eligibility

• All international students are eligible to apply.
• Students must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent to apply for a Master’s degree program.
• Applicants must have a Master’s degree or equivalent to apply for a Doctoral (PhD) degree program.
