UNICEF Internship Programme

Overview

Official UNICEF internship programme and current vacancies.

About UNICEF

UNICEF's Internship Programme places students in its country offices, regional offices or New York/Geneva headquarters, working on child-focused programming across areas like health, education, child protection and emergency response. Placements are typically full-time for a minimum of six weeks, and — similar to UNDP — some duty stations provide a stipend, though this isn't uniform across every UNICEF office.

How to Apply

1. 1Browse current internship vacancies on UNICEF's official careers site, since postings are tied to specific offices and functional areas rather than a general applicant pool.
2. 2Confirm you meet UNICEF's academic requirement, generally current enrollment in a graduate degree program (or having graduated within the past two years, depending on the specific posting).
3. 3Submit your application, including a cover letter tailored to the specific office and role, directly through the posting.
